This is a brand new generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Yamaha YFM 450 Grizzly EPS and Grizzly 4x4 EPS from 2011 to 2014. On an EPS machine the charging system has to do more work than on a base model - the electric power steering unit draws current continuously - so a tired stator is felt sooner here than on a machine without it. The alternator windings supply the regulator rectifier and the battery, the pickup coil times the ignition, and a separate source winding feeds the ignition circuit.
The assembly is plug-and-play and a direct fit: seven wires into two plugs, matching the factory connectors, wire lengths and mounting pattern, so no cutting, splicing or modification is required. It is built on the highest grade lamination stack and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees C. The pickup pulsar coil comes pre-assembled on the plate, and a connector and rubber harness grommet are supplied so the installation can be completed without reusing perished originals. Every unit is bench tested before shipment.

Confirm with a multimeter: about 0.4 ohms +/- 20% White to White on the alternator windings, about 500 ohms +/- 20% Red to White on the pickup, and about 0.2 ohms +/- 20% Red to Blue on the source winding. Any circuit reading open, or showing continuity to the stator body, has failed.
