Generator Stator for Yamaha YFM 700 and YFM 700R Raptor
Fits YFM 700 and YFM 700R Raptor, 2006 to 2025 - Part RM01397
This is a brand new generator stator for the Yamaha Raptor 700 and 700R, covering the whole production run from 2006 through to 2025. The Raptor is a high-revving sport quad and its charging system works hard: the stator sits under the left-hand case cover behind the flywheel, generating the alternating current that feeds the regulator rectifier, while the integral pick-up coil supplies the crank position signal the ignition depends on. On a machine that spends its life at high rpm and high engine temperature, the winding insulation is the component that eventually surrenders.
A tired stator on a Raptor announces itself in a fairly predictable order. First the battery starts to go flat between rides, then the lights pulse with the throttle, then the machine becomes reluctant to restart when hot, and finally it stops charging altogether. This replacement is a direct fit for the original Yamaha unit and installs plug-and-play with no modification to the case or the harness. It is wound with the highest grade copper, insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and built on the highest grade lamination materials for a strong, stable output right across the rev range. The pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet are included, and every unit is tested before dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct fit for the Raptor 700 and 700R. The 42 mm bore, the 107 mm outer diameter and the factory connectors all match the original, so nothing has to be cut, drilled or spliced. Check the number on your existing unit against 1S3-81410-00-00.
What is included in the box?
The stator, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Measure with a multimeter on ohms. Each white to white pair should read about 0.8 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and the three readings should be close to one another - a pair that reads open circuit is a burnt phase. Blue/white to white/green should read about 250 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, for the pick-up. There should be no continuity between any wire and the stator body.
Why does the Raptor cook stators?
It is a high-revving engine and the stator sits in a hot, oil-filled case with little airflow. Prolonged high rpm pushes the winding insulation to its limit, and once one phase shorts the remaining phases carry more load and follow it. That is why this unit uses copper windings insulated to 200 degrees Celsius rather than a lower-rated grade.
